The Art of Solo Group Travel

If you’ve always wanted to take a solo trip but have been afraid to take the leap, consider a solo group trip. What is a solo group trip, you ask? It’s when several solo travelers meet at a destination. This method eliminates most of the safety concerns that come with solo female travel.

While each person is actually coming by themselves, you are together in a group of people from around the world. It’s fun and exciting to meet new people and possibly enjoy another part of the world with them.

I took a solo group trip to Dubai in March of 2019. There were about 22 women from various places. I met women from Nigeria, Canada, and various places in the United States. The particular travel company I went with matched a roommate to those who wanted one. Other travel companies may not roommate match so make sure you ask before booking.

On a solo group trip it is important to remember that it is still a solo trip. Do what YOU want to do. Don’t be afraid to say no to a planned event that you may not want to do. You likely will not see these people again so don’t skip what you wanted to do to please them.

Solo group travel is a great way to dip your toe into the world of solo female travel. It’s like a gateway drug that will lead you into true solo travel. Once you’ve traveled alone, it’s hard to go back.

Two solo group travel companies I recommend are One Love Travel Club and Sisters Traveling Solo. These companies plan the whole trip! The trips are usually about 7 nights and allow for free time to explore on your own. The trips are a set price and airfare is separate. Payment plans are available.

The solo group trip is a great way to begin your world exploration without waiting on friends but without being totally alone. It is my second favorite way to travel. It gives you two exciting things to look forward to; a new destination and making new friends. I recommend this for you newbies out there. Group travel is a great way to meet like-minded people in new places.

My favorite things about my solo group trip were the airport pickup, the luxury accommodations, the knowledgeable tour guides, and that there was always someone to go with. Upon my arrival at the airport, a gentleman was there waiting for me with my name on a sign and a car ready to take me to the hotel. Now that’s star treatment. This experience was a great perk of booking this solo trip.

Many solo travel groups choose the most luxurious hotels, and One Love Travel Club is one of those companies. This club provides nothing but five-star accommodations and it is amazing. You receive 5-star treatment from the moment you land to the moment you take off.

I always recommend taking tours or excursions when traveling. Most solo group travel companies have taken the time to research ahead of the trip and book the best tours to make your trip unique and memorable. The tour guides are very knowledgeable and you will get good information about the local area.

On a solo group trip, there is always someone to go with. Even on the free days where I planned to venture out on my own, there was always someone who was thinking of doing the same thing and wanted to come. That’s an added bonus. It’s always good to have shared experiences and make new connections.

So while solo travel can be intimidating at first, try solo group travel and begin your world adventures with new friends.
